I'm quite excited as last night the lil sis and I got to drafting annnnnnd a wonderful new pattern was added to our home made collection.
You'll understand my excitement knowing that the pattern we drafted was for pencil skirts. I am a very big fan of corporate clothing and I really love the pencil skirts from Cue and at times Review but sadly they are so goddamn overpriced. Not that I wouldn't pay it if I had it... I just rarely have it :P
Though it does annoy me as both labels don't finish off their pieces the way they should be finished. I was having a look at at Cue dress, it was this gorgeous blue number with a heavy belted waist and a puffy skirt. When I looked under the skirt, the hem hadn't even been seamed off properly. There was a zigzag stitch across the bottom of the skirt and then it had been folded back to hem it, the edge of the material hadn't even been hidden. Similarly a Review pink dress which costed something like 300 dollars, with a black tulle lining. Where the tulle had been attached to the bottom of a skirt also had not been hidden correctly. It was a simple matter of folding something over an additional time and then there'd be no problem. It's what you expect when you pay so much money.
Oh well, I'll no longer have to worry as the skirt my sister and I mocked up kicked ass. I post results when the final products finished :P

I wish it were true...
I'm reading a wonderfully interesting book at the moment; 'Medical Blunders'. It covers all the failures of doctors, medical theorists, surgeons and psychologists from roughly the 1700's. The section on the lobotomies performed by Moniz and Freedmen/Watts is so perfectly gruesome. Also it was once believed that if a woman was administered chloroform whilst in labour, it turned the whole ordeal into one lengthy orgasm.
In actuality it knocked the bitch out and deformed and killed the babies.
But it's highly interesting :P

In which computer, cake and christians are concerned
I hate computers, I hate them. I was once described as a lud-ite and I'd have to agree. Currently my pc has decided it doesn't want to let me go on the internet... for no reason. Well for no reason that someone as electronically challenged can identify. So I'm on my shitty laptop which is no better but slower internet.
Anyway, I have a piece of chocolate cake with King Island double cream, it's quite delicious.
Also I'm watching Saved. Such a good movie, anything thing that pokes fun at fundemental christians is always funny.
