Splits, frills and fish tails!

I'm quite excited as last night the lil sis and I got to drafting annnnnnd a wonderful new pattern was added to our home made collection.

You'll understand my excitement knowing that the pattern we drafted was for pencil skirts. I am a very big fan of corporate clothing and I really love the pencil skirts from Cue and at times Review but sadly they are so goddamn overpriced. Not that I wouldn't pay it if I had it... I just rarely have it :P

Though it does annoy me as both labels don't finish off their pieces the way they should be finished. I was having a look at at Cue dress, it was this gorgeous blue number with a heavy belted waist and a puffy skirt. When I looked under the skirt, the hem hadn't even been seamed off properly. There was a zigzag stitch across the bottom of the skirt and then it had been folded back to hem it, the edge of the material hadn't even been hidden. Similarly a Review pink dress which costed something like 300 dollars, with a black tulle lining. Where the tulle had been attached to the bottom of a skirt also had not been hidden correctly. It was a simple matter of folding something over an additional time and then there'd be no problem. It's what you expect when you pay so much money.

Oh well, I'll no longer have to worry as the skirt my sister and I mocked up kicked ass. I post results when the final products finished :P
